Dental Technician – Proform

Melbourne, AU

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced thermoforming Dental Technician to join our close-knit thermoforming team.

No two days are the same, however, a typical day would include:

  • Designing and fabricating custom mouthguards, occlusal splints, bleaching trays, and a range of prosthetic appliances to a high clinical standard.
  • Utilising Exocad software to accurately design occlusal splints using CAD technology.
  • Preparing and processing dental impressions, including trimming and refining gypsum models for the precise manufacture of prosthetic appliances.
  • Modifying, adjusting, and repairing dental appliances as required.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment in accordance with safety and compliance requirements.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 + years of work experience in a similar role working on a range of dental appliances, thermoforming and nylon splint experience preferred.
  • Good hand/eye coordination with an eye for detailed and precise work.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines and work volumes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve ceramic team volumes and quality standards.
  • Diploma/bachelors in dental technology.

Dental Technician – Ceramics

Melbourne, AU

We are on the lookout for a Dental Technician with ceramics experience to join our long tenured and experienced team based in Abbotsford.

No two days are the same, however, a typical day would include:

  • Staining and glazing all dental restoration types and materials.
  • Layering of high-quality ceramic restorations, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported cases.
  • Working on adjustment and remake cases to determine issues and repairs.
  • Reading and interpreting prescriptions from dentists and collaborating to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensuring proper shade matching and natural morphology.
  • Performing quality control checks to ensure accuracy, fit, and occlusion.
